How can the Titans afford him? They had salary cap troubles not long ago, and since then have signed some high profile players, lost a couple (which I think would even out...at best) and now they want to sign Carney? And I believe they are hunting for Hoffman as well.

Possibly, If we didn't already have Beale who can do IMO a better job than Carney at the back.

Lets face it he would bring a lot to the Broncos on the field but how much damage could he do to the brand off it in just 1 night. I would be shocked if the Broncs even thought about it.

Titans have learned that winning is everything with their crowds so they would be 1 club seriously looking at him.

1 strike and youre out contract, no harm done to the club. we've all seen how good he can be, you dont win the dally m player of the year by being 'ok', and thats a risk i think any club should be willing to take.
