Re: Centenary Test Team (Australia)

How did Laffranchi not get in? Not one Titan in the team for that matter. Meanwhile Gallen hasn't played for 4 weeks.

Crap team. But the thing is they will still smash NZ and that's why the selectors don't get the criticism they deserve.

Brent Kite eusa_think

More like Brent Shite. Softest front rower in the game he is bloody useless!

Re: Centenary Test Team (Australia)

Can't argue with the backline, should run rings around the ram-rooters really.

Not the strongest pack we could've picked, but given our depth I doubt many will ever be totally happy with it. It just looks like a pack that the Kiwi forwards could really dominate if they're reasonably on their game. Kite... [icon_shru

Strong bench as usual.

They should do the job, fingers crossed.

How the hel did Webb get in?

And I stand by Prince should have got the nod ahead of Thurston based on form this season. At least they got the fullback right.

But yeah this team should still get the job well done.

Myles, Laffranchi and Thaiday >>>>> Webb eusa_think

I can only think that Webb has been selected on pure impact value because he's played far better in other years and hasn't gotten a look in. I'm very confused about what they're thinking with that forward pack.

Brent Kite, Paul Gallen and Carl Webb shouldn't be in the side. Laffranchi, Thaiday and Myles should be in there. What a piss poor forward pack IMO.

Brent Kite? [eusa_eh
I wouldn't have had Webb there either. Or Gallen.
Thaiday should have had a spot on the bench IMO. Feel sorry for Prince too, he obviously wanted the halfback spot really badly.

Gallen, Kite, Webb. Righto, these selectors are a little different.

I still don't think Thurston should have been there ahead of Prince either.

Thats like saying Anasta should have been there over Lockyer.

I agree.

Can't agree with that as much as I feel for Prince and would love to see him get a chance.
The form of a challenger has to be so much better than the incumbent the selectors have no option but to pick him and that is not the case with Thurston / Prince.
Agree with the calls on Kite and Webb. Gallen is a grub but can play.
The good news is the NSW selectors will pick Kite again :D

How's that? Prince has definitely been head and shoulders above all the other halfbacks so far this season. I think Thurston is coming back to his best form and may be in better form than Prince again in another month or so, but he's not right now. The Lockyer situation is completely different, even though he has missed a fair bit of game time through injury I don't think that Anasta (while in very good form don't get me wrong) has really played that much better than Lockyer has in his limited appearances this season.

I think Gallen after today got his spot he was great in a losing side. Hoffman and Kite are the ones I can't believe they are both girls, I would have Myles and Lefranchi in trhere place and maybe Thaiday for Tupou, Webb has been very good in the last month and I am happy enough he will get his debut.

Gallen...ugh. [icon_thumbs_do

Good player but a dirty dirty dirty grub.

Edit: I retract my statement that Kite and Hoffman are girls. It's offensive to the fairer sex to compare them to these softies [icon_evillaugh

Anasta has been in far better form than Lockyer in all honesty this year, Lockyer has shown some bits of form, but it's been very patchy, Anasta as much as i hate the guy and the roosters has been playing out of his skin.

Saying that though, you have certain players who are just selected because of how good they are and what they have done in the past, Thurston, like Lockyer is one of those players. As good as Prince has been, thurston is still a far better player, just like despite Anasta currently in better form, Lockyer is a far better player.
