High scoring game as usual.

City got of to an early lead before Country fought back and lead 24-10 at one point before another City fightback brought them back into the contest before Jarrod Croker wrapped the game up with a try at the end. Sea sawing and entertaining game, I'm from the country so getting a win over the city slickers makes my day.

Players that stood out for Country were captain James Maloney, centers Croker and Wighton, Thompson, Jackson and I thought Vaughn and Sims showed some stuff from the bench. On the other hand I thought Moylan was excellent at fullback for City and players like Tedesco, Tupou, Reynolds, Fifita, Klemmer and Sironen played well for City.

Man of the match went to James Maloney and he deserved after putting in a true captains knock for Country, leading his team around confidently, kicking well and set up chances for his men.

Both teams played park footy. Was entertaining enough to watch but as a simulation for Origin, it doesn't even come close.

I don't mind these games because usually it gives a young guy a chance to make a name for themselves or a few club players to show their wares. I missed half since I was watching Money/Pac but it seemed like it was Austin's day.

May catch a replay later since I actually like the park footy style - it's how footy should be played but I still think the game is confused.

Was watching the residents game but I did catch Reynolds getting put on report for launching himself knees and shoulder into a tackle. I also caught Croker barging his way over the line for that last try. Happy to see him do well.

Surely Reynolds should get a massive suspension. Given he's already been charged with the same offence, shouldn't he now have a **** ton of loading applied to his base charge?

Plus he is not looking likely to make Origin and he tripped a Blue. So they'll be open to real suspensions.

In all honesty I think Reynolds will be struggling to make first grade within 2 or 3 years time. He isn't the best 6 at his club and he is being overtaken be most 6's in the game.

This bullshit that he carries on with like tripping, stupid aggression and all the other rubbish is imho a player that got massively over rated early in his career and is now watching that career slowly disintegrate in front of his own eyes
