Gold Coast Titans NRL player Daniel Conn has been castigated by a magistrate and ordered to do community service after admitting to faking painkiller prescriptions.

Conn has also been fined $5000 by the Titans and ordered to see a sports psychologist.

The 22-year-old forward pleaded guilty in Southport Magistrate's Court to two charges of improperly using prescriptions to obtain controlled drugs.

I thought the Titans had a zero tolerance policy.

He's not technically, but you'd have to think that faking painkiller injections while playing a sport like this one should surely command a fairly hefty punishment from the Titans/NRL.

Wouldn't that be drug cheating? :P

Yeah, regardless if the drug was banned though, I reckon forging prescriptions is a pretty damn serious thing. Sure, this time it was "just" painkillers...

If it was us that forged a prescription, we would probably be behind bars.

The painkiller was Tramal. (Tramadol hydrochloride)
