7 Victories in 11 seasons! Not a big fan of the game myself but the competition is of a good standard and the NZ Union don't just let the Crusaders stack their side while the others have nothing add to that the fact the Kiwi internationals constantly go to Europe earlier than the Aussie guys do. So they have managed to win the comp 7 times in 11 years despite having to constantly evolve the team in a pretty fiercely contested competition. Amazing record from clearly a brilliantly coached and managed franchise, the Wallabies have done a great thing signing up this Robbie Deans guy.

Not much of a rugby fan either, but you can't not admire the success the Crusaders have had down the years. Glad they beat the Horrortahs too - can't have those pr!cks winning anything

What was the final score? I didnt get to watch the game because I was at work.

Not surprising that the Tahs got beaten but, Crusaders are almost unstoppable at home, particularly in a final!

Well done to them.

20 - 12

Crusaders kicked 4 penalties and a drop goal, with just one try, Tahs 2 tries 1 conversation

You see! Thats what I hate about union, you can score more tries and still lose the game its stupid. They need to make the penalty goal less of an incentive. That way they force teams to go for the try which therefore leads to a more entertaining game.

Congrats to Brad Thorne for getting yet another trophy. What a sportsman this guy is.

Stupid boring game though.ChCh really doesn't play any other sport but Union so should be the top team in the comp.
Good on em though.Well done and a big accomplishment.

i don't think people realise how it works for the nz super 14 teams. The NZRU has the final say where players go in the NZ teams.Unlike australia we have a strong National Championship which then folds into the super 14 teams. The NZRU can take players and place them in the teams they choose to a degree despite each super 14 side having a certain group of teams in their area to pull players from.

On the planet? Nuh. Given the standard of competition, the Broncos are above them, and the likes of Manchester Utd are FAR above any other on the planet.

How can the LIKES of manchester utd be far above ANY other on the planet. Isn't that a contradictition??

New England Patriots are the best. Man U is good but they don't have a cap, the Pats just keep on dominating the comp. Glad they didn't win it though.

Broncos would have to be up there as well.

Sorry, just Man U, then.

Jeez, it's not like you to finally become overly pedantic about language when someone says something that isn't positive about Rugby Union

Trust me, they aren't. [icon_wink

Clearly Anthony Mundine is the greatest sports franchise on the planet.

Best rugby league player in history
Best boxer in the world
Expert at cleaning contact lenses

Oh wait, actually, he's fucked up all three!
