I noticed there is a Ben Hunt and Corey Parker thread, but after last night and his performances throughout the year, I felt Copley deserved one also.

He is having a magnificent year. I remember a lot of Broncos fans criticizing the Broncos for re-signing him. I wonder what they have to say now?

Future rep centre. Everyone knows it and NSW fear it. Their left edge is going to be paper thin in coming years.

Was absolutely brilliant last night. I've criticized him a lot in his debut years (I still love the name Dale Dropley) and have been vocal about him not being ready for Origin. Still don't think he is but if he keeps playing at centre he will be for years to come. Great effort and represents the kind of commitment and effort that has often been lacking.

Still, he really needs to work on his hands. Still a factor at times. But he is going great overall and only 1 behind Radradra for top tryscorer. Been a long time since we've had the top tryscorer.

I would've thought 'Fail Dropley' would've been more common at the time.

But yeah centre is his position, and unless he gets a hand transplant from Maranta and can take those bombs 99/100, he won't get to Origin via the wing like most new back-liners. I just think his brain moves too fast for his hands and he takes off too early before catching it properly. Love his step, SPEED and strength. The fact he out-sprinted Johnson says a bit. Defence needs some work, given how Henry just rolled though for that 2nd try, but it's a new CTW pairing (and we won) so that can be forgiven. Vidot needs to take some notes and perhaps drop a couple of kg's to team that size with some speed, coz Dale is not small at all

I believe he has the most linebreaks out of any centre / winger in the NRL this year, and he's right up there in tries as well, having a great season.

He's a fucking beast. One of my Favourite players. Speed, strength step he has it all and if he can just lose the minichello hands he will be unstoppable.

I called in the pre-season thread that he'd have a break out year this year. He bulked up a heap in the off season and really worked on his fitness and foot work. The guy is huge and quick. Big future.

I remember saying with injuries to QLD he should be able to make a claim for an Origin spot this year and I copped it so much on here. I didn't say it was a guaranteed spot though. The Chambers selection was ridiculous. He played one good game at the right time, whilst Copley had a bad game at the wrong time.

While I don't ever remember writing Copley off, I do remember being particular scathing of his hands and his frequency to knock on/drop it cold.

He's improved on that which has obviously made a difference to other areas of his game, he's playing very well and deserves the plaudits coming his way.

I feel as though having Reed and Hodges inside you would lead to never expecting the ball to come to you and in turn never being ready to catch it. That's what I've put it down to.

He dropped it out of sheer excitement that he got the ball.

According to Sterling, Johns and Fitler we have another backrower. They agreed he will be too big and agile to stay in the centres.
I cant understand why he cannot be a centre

thats like saying well greg inglis has to be a back rower as well

copley is a beast. one of my favourite players. there were plenty of us who backed him pre season to have a huge year. pre season i said he was a smokey for the origin side, didnt come about, but he wont be far off it next season if he keeps the centre position at hte broncos (which after saturday is a must)

Certainly
He is a player that may not be the flashiest but all through 20s and first grade has shown his ability to find the tryline. This is his gift, he knows which position to be in

His ability to make a line break is also very good. He has a great step on him.

He's the equal second highest try scorers this season, keep him at centre.

Yeah, another prediction that I happily got wrong. Along with:

* I thought Hunt would be a fizzler
* I thought Kennedy would be just what we need
* I thought Barba would put his troubles behind him & be a gun

At least you're consistent!
