GOLD Coast Titans forward David Taylor tonight successfully got his Grade 2 dangerous contact charge downgraded at the judiciary and will be free to play in Sunday's clash against the Parramatta Eels in Mudgee.
Taylor and Titans coach John Cartwright attended tonight's judiciary hearing at NRL headquarters and were represented by former judiciary commissioner Jim Hall.

What a complete joke.

Well someone has to get the drinks etc at half time & it looks like it will be Taylor.

That's nice that he will be available to watch origin 1 on TV a

So no Titans player suspended from all those deliberate high shots?

The judiciary is a joke.

Stewart throws an elbow gets off, Taylor deliberate high shot gets off.

Yet Thaiday touches a refs shirt and gets a week!

Thaiday is an animal for that. :loool:

Agree the judiciary is a joke but if I was Taylor I would have taken my chances as well. Wal looked liked he slipped just before he got hit, which may have saved him from a really good head shot but also enough for Taylor to argue a downgrade. This one went the way I thought it would.

Well Origin is coming up, don't want to be unfair and suspend potential candidates.

Still deserved a week for mine but unlike Stewart who's got a history of getting off lightly at the judiciary, Taylor served his time in 2011 where he had to face 6 weeks for a tackle that wasn't even penalised during the game. Meanwhile, Uate makes a similar tackle and copped absolutely nothing.

The point? Judiciary is a lottery that tends to favour whoever Geoff Carr is in favour of.

Jarryd Hayne and the headbutt that wasn't lol

Geoff Carr is a ballbag. The wanker clearly hates us.

I didn't think there was too much in the Taylor hit.

What would be interesting is if he was in great form if he would still have got off with origin around the corner? The judiciary are probably wanting to make sure he is available in case meninga has a brain snap and picks him
