The fallout of Manly's impressive victory over NRL rivals Melbourne continued on Saturday, with winger David Williams ruled out for the season with a broken neck.
The Sea Eagles confirmed on Saturday Williams' season was over after he suffered a fracture of the sixth vertebra - which is likely to sideline the former international for six months.

Quick-thinking Slater praised for first aid on Wolfman
The damage could have been far worse had Melbourne fullback Billy Slater not cradled Williams until medical help arrived.
''Once we heard it was his neck we knew we didn't want to move him too much,'' Slater said. ''We just heard he was in some pain. Initially we didn't realise it was his neck, I thought it was his leg, [but] you hear a player in a tackle or that sort of thing in some sort of pain you just want to help them out as much as you can.''
Slater's actions were applauded by the Williams family, Manly COO David Perry and coach Des Hasler.
