Did the Sharks peak too early?

Lots of big game losses in that list Roosterman.

They still do have Maloney, Ennis and Barba in the spine who have played origin/grand finals before and there is also Gallen, Graham, Bird and Lewis there who defiantly aren't strangers to the big time.

They vehemently refuse to be strangers to the big time.

Gutsy from the Dragons, it's their local derby and they were obviously sick of the rot just like we were.

All you need to do is go 10% harder than your opposition at the right time and the game is yours.

Think they have even less chance of winning the comp than us.

Calling it, wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win another game this season

We all know what happens when Barba starts to lose confidence. [emoji41]

So now can we say the choke begins?

Not for certain, but how they handle the next round would be a good indication of where they are at.

Mate, they got flogged by the Dragons..

Jarrod Croker has scored more points from tries and goals than what the Dragons have all year.

I think the most worrying aspect of it would be that they let the Dragons, a team who has scored about 6 tries all season put 32 points on them.

Again, I think this shows how over-blown the criticism of the Broncos form slump was. We were missing up to 5 front line players at times and they make a big difference. In the last two weeks the Sharks have missed Ennis & Gallen and haven't been the same team. I'd much rather be in the Broncos' position and get the players back now and build towards the finals rather than splutter towards the finals. If the Sharks can get all their players back and get a couple of wins together heading into the finals they'll be ok, but if they are a mixed bag over the next few weeks their hopes will fade. Which will be good for us as they could end up being our 2nd week opponent.

Was Gallen injured or rested? It's possible the Sharks were overconfident and thought they had it in the bag before a tackle was made.

I've been trying to find all morning where someone said the Broncos can only win if the refs allow a clean ruck, but the Sharks & Melbourne can adapt either way. I think this loss disproves that of the Sharks. Despite yet another "crackdown", the lying in the ruck this year has been horrible, and it's clear that teams like the Sharks have revelled in it. It's been said many times that the refs will one day decide a premiership. My concern is that it won't be via an error, but by the refs showing no diligence in the mandated cleaning up of the ruck.

Refs have already decided a premiership.

The 2015 premiership.

I can't remember who posted it, but the teams they mentioned were the Storm and the Cowboys. I think it was a fair assessment to.
