Did the Sharks peak too early?

Finishing top two pretty much guarantees them at least a prelim, which would be their fifth in the NRL era which is pretty impressive considering how much shit they've been given over that time.

To put it in perspective, Canberra haven't made a prelim in a unified comp in over 20 years!
*considering how much shit they've put themselves through over that time.

Granted, but they were on the arse end of "kick em out" and "relocate them" jibes and now they're on top.

I am still of the opinion they peaked too early and will tumble out of the finals in a gloriously humiliating fashion.

I may be tipping with my heart though.
I'm backing this statement. :takdir:

The refs will definitely do their best to try ti get them into the GF. But I can't see them winning at all.

Have the Sharks won a game on the back of a controversial referee decision this year?

Now, I could understand that criticism being aimed at Melbourne. There's been a few instances where a call (or non-call in the case of Round 10 v Cowboys) went their way at pivotal moments. But outside of them, I can't think of any instance where a Top 4 side won a game because of a bad referee decision.

No, I think they peaked at just the right time !

I want the Sharks to win it. Oh yes they are a good team, etc but the NRL will become an even bigger laughing stock as every other code sinks the boot in at a team of unsuspended drug cheats winning the whole thing.

Then Sharks can win it the year after the drug cheat retires ... until then **** them.

I want the Raiders to win the whole thing, but I'm not sure they can beat the Sharks, where I know the Storm can.

They've had a charmed run in the finals. Beat the Raiders who were without Austin and lost Hodgson mid-game. Goes on to play a faltering Cowboys side coming off a draining 90 minute game.

Raiders or Storm are the likely winners next week.

Put your money down. The Sharks are $2.05 now. Storm $2.40 and Raiders $6.00

You must be happy old mate, I just hope Canberra win tonight and then I can watch the GF and not really care who wins. Other than Gallen, there are a lot of reasons why I would like to see Cronulla win.

I won't be watching the gf, just don't care who wins.

This is why I don't think the grand final will ever be a success in Brisbane. QLDers don't care or bother about games that don't involve QLD teams.
