At least Suttor was consistent, whenever a dodge call is made, I know I can suffer it if the ref is consistent, and that he was. It was a bit harsh, but it was consistent, which is all we can ask for

I have no problem with him declaring game over before the ball went into the scrum, it's the fact he blew time on when the scrum didn't break and Wing didn't have the ball to feed.

Why blow time on?

You can blame Wing for not having picked up the ball earlier, but that would be harsh IMO.

Certainly it was harsh, you see one Souths player break the scrum and stand and that's when Suttor blows time back on, and there is no doubt that it was rough, but it was consistent with the earlier call

I suppose it is on Wing to keep his ears open for the whistle, and when he heard that he should have raced to the ball, he knew that an earlier call like that went in favour of his side - comes down to playing to the whistle i suppose

when did a player break?

They packed it he blew time off, a couple stood up parra, wing and the ref yelled and pointed at them they repacked.

He didnt blow time on then he just blew it back on randomly when parra werent even ready to pack.

Solution = Ball goes dead time stops like AFL.

I know the game will be alot longer but it will stop all the inconsistencies in regards to scrums, kick for goals/penalties and line dropouts

They should just stop scrums altogether and play the ball. What's the difference anyway? It would the amount of time wasting that goes on.

Watch the replay, when he blew time back on no one had moved. If he was blowing time on for that reason surely you would do it immediately not 5 seconds later [icon_shru

Haven't seen the game so can't comment, but agree with a few others love Brett Suttor real breath of fresh air to the refs ranks and will go a long way. He enjoys himself and that is very important in a ref for mine, it should not be seen as a job but something you love doing.

A draw for those two teams what a worthy result though, either that or both getting no points [icon_wink
