FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

No finesse there from Bruno. He just fucking smashed it into the back of the net.

And that's game.

Man United are through to the Semi Final!

Man United are playing Brighton in the Semi Final. Man City are playing Sheffield.

Looks like it's going to be a Manchester Derby for the final. Should be a cracker.

Even so mate, that goal takes some finishing. Like when one happens, you instantly think of one you seen 10 years ago. It's that rare.
Maybe I watch too much football, I've seen quite a few goals similar to that even in the lower leagues in England.

Fulham fans blowing up about Mitrovic getting a red card.

Sancho had an open goal after beating the keeper, and Willian comes flying in and blocks the shot with his hand which is always a red, then Mitrovic shoves the ref and gets up in his face abusing him which you just can't do.

Marco Silva got a red card as well for abusing the officials on the sideline.

The Qatar investors have improved their bid to $6 billion I believe and it looks like the sale of the club to them is going to go ahead.

Hopefully it's all sorted soon.

Man United are reportedly in negotiations with Neves and things are apparently progressing well.

We'll see what happens.

Apparently if the Qatar investors are successful in their bid to takeover the club, their top target will be Mbappe. Apparently they want to go hard after him in an effort to win over the fan base and we will have the funds to do so.

He's not going to United. He's got class and integrity, that doesn't fit at the red side of manchester.

In other news, Newcastle owners look like they have dropped themselves in it and lied to the Premier league about their structure in a court case. Premier league have a rule saying a foreign state cant own or control a football club.

A quote from the Times article about it

The league allowed the 2021 takeover by the Saudi public investment fund (PIF) on the basis that it had received “legally binding assurances that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not control Newcastle”. But documents submitted to a US court on behalf of the PIF earlier this month say that it should be regarded as “a foreign state”, and that it and Newcastle’s chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan — who also runs LIV — “are not ordinary third parties . . . they are a sovereign instrumentality of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a sitting minister of the Saudi government”.

Thats some hard evidence the Premier league are going to struggle to ignore. They clearly arent structured the way they said they were. Premier league really dont have a choice but to remove them. Probably will depend on how many brown paper bags end up at PL headquarters.

Citeh are just on another level to any other premier league side when they are on it.

didn't come out of the sheds 2nd half.

just passed through our mid like it was never there. season cant finish soon enough - been saying it all season, midfield needs a massive cleanout.

We're a mess at the moment.

It's never Broncs and LFC doing well at the same time, it's always one or the other.

Tough match coming up for Man United taking on Newcastle at their home.

We looked tired before the break and struggled against Fulham for most of the match. Hopefully the break has refreshed us.

Fucking hell, how did Newcastle not score there?

Man United are very lucky to be going into the break 0-0. Newcastle should have had 2 goals at the very least but poor shots cost them.

It's mostly been all Newcastle in the first half, Man United will need to lift in the second if they want a win here. I don't really see a win happening, though. A draw at the least but I think Newcastle are going to win this.

This stream has been fucked. Keeps fucking up. I might just go to bed if it keeps doing what it's been doing.

Man United taking on Brentford now.

Let's see if Man United actually turn up this time.

That's a positive start for Man United.

They look angry.
