We can still finish 7th if the Sharks and Tigs are stripped of points I guess.
I'd be shocked if it isn't a draw. Not only are they fairly even matched teams but they have absolutely no incentive to win. The scores will be even at some stage and both teams will absolutely shut down, revert to one out runs and kicking for touch.

What are the odds of a draw happening? How many have there been in the history of the competition? If they collude to produce a particular result they should be stripped of points.

There is generally zero incentive for a draw but when both teams will progress by just staying even, what's the incentive to take a risk and go above on the scoreboard?

The only real incentive is to go ahead to make sure the other team doesn't score in the last second and send you packing.

Either way, I'm calling a draw. Good luck proving collusion unless they're dumb enough to email each other... Which they might be given NRL clubs are run by footballers usually.

It will be incredibly interesting what the public reaction is if it’s a draw... a lot of commentators having a giggle about it. I think it will be a PR disaster for the sport, but then again it’s the WWE

If it goes to golden point you can guarantee a draw, in fact I'd wager that neither team will even attempt a field goal. It's not worth the risk of giving the other team a 7 tackle set when all you need to make the finals is the draw.

I suppose it doesn't matter too much cause no one in the bottom half of the 8 is winning the comp, but it's a disgrace if it's allowed to happen without repercussions. You could easily infer it by them playing completely differently, such as them trundling to the line and turning it over on the 5th, not going for FGs, not taking shots at penalty or intentionally missing shots at penalty, etc.

The right thing to do is to reschedule the game so there isn't an oppurtunity for conspiracy theories but the NRL are amateurs at every level, so it's no surprise what's transpired.

They have plenty of incentive to win.

Which team do you think they would rather play? An injury and suspension ravaged Manly or a high flying Eels at their home ground?

People are getting way paranoid.

There isn't going to be any colluding. **** me dead, there have been a plenty of opportunities over the decades of Rugby League for colluding and it hasn't happened. It's not going to start now.

I for one will be backing the team to beat Parramatta again for the second time in 2 weeks. **** me the amount of negativity on this site these days is astounding, anyone would think we just won the spoon.
