FORMER NRL player Shane Tronc has been charged with supplying dangerous drugs.
Tronc, 30, was issued last week with a notice to appear on the charge, allegedly steroids.

The former Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys prop - he played in the 2005 NRL Grand Final for the Cowboys against the West Tigers - retired last year after succumbing to a recurring neck injury.

Imagine the headlines, if he was still playing.

Glad the photo of him, is when he was playing for the Cowboys.

If true, judging by the way he played, he should have found a different supplier.

But seriously f**k him if true.

It's sad because I used to have some respect for him. He was soft as a pillow but he got through a ton of work and actually helped us out a bit in 2010.

But this just gives opposition fans ammunition they don't deserve to sully our names with.

No more bagging out Newcastle. :(

Nah, we were already riding a fine line due to Webcke and Smokin' Joe, now we're done for.

Just say, if you can't beat them, join them. lol

Is there any idea as to the context of the charges? As in who he is supplying and/or how long he has been under investigation for? Obviously those are relevant to the Broncos so hopefully this is only a recent "I have retired and need a quick buck" kinda thing.

I loved Troncy. Seriously disappointing if it's true.
