Bit strange to rest Cronk for a game against the Kiwis.

Michael Morgan to start at 5/8 apparently

Good shit.

I would much prefer Maloney over Morgan. Best 5/8th this year and has been awesome over the last few years. Has far better management and organisational skills than Morgan to.

That said I can see why they would go with Morgan.

It's gut-check time for Morgan. It's been difficult to gauge his representative form so far, especially since he's played such an undefined role. Utility players are on a hiding to nothing unless they can provide fresh legs out of dummy half. Morgan hasn't been afforded the luxury, so this game shapes as a prime opportunity for him to make his mark.

Does anyone think Mal would have made a different choice if it was JT being rested and not Cronk?

I really feel like Maloney would have been the better choice. He lacks the combination with JT but he's pretty polished and assured. Aside from some handling errors I thought he was threatening with ball in hand against the Scots.

Feels like a boom or bust move bringing in Morgan. I hope he has a blinder but I feel like he may not be up for it? Given they have gone with him, makes sense that O'Neill got the gig. Between him, JT and Morgan, they should have a fair bit of synergy.

Would prefer it if Morgan just played centre in place of O'Neill, with Maloney in the halves. Morgan plays like an extra centre for the Cowboys anyway.

Maloney's defence is shit though & kiwis would run roughshod over him. Seems a strange decision to rest cronk

Thurston is shit defensively as well, Maloney will fit right in.

Turd Ferguson opens the scoring.

Aussies up 4-0

Poms beat Scotland 38-12 earlier.

Inglis just destroyed Kahu with a solid tackle coming off the line.
