Interesting matchup. The French side is almost just the Catalans side with different jerseys, while the Scots are a mixture of NRL and SL players. I was getting excited about the Scot's chances but the French have a very solid side there. Should be a close game though.

Will be a great game, hopefully. Plenty of talent across both sides, but with France having nine of its players plying their trade with the same club, I think that understanding and fluency should snaffle any chance of an upset.

Won't be all clear sailing for the Frogs though.

Thomas Bosc is a talent.

Hopefully he carves up. icon_thumbs_u

Should be an easy win for the Frogs although Henderson will cause trouble. Catalans has been performing well in the Super League so I can see that translating easily.

It's a pity Wallace and Hindmarsh aren't playing for Scotland. Still, should be interesting to see if the game is decent

Not sure Hindmarsh was eligible, I think he was Eng/Ireland. But Wallace pulling out was a big big loss for them IMO. Newton was eligible as well I think.

I'm sad I will miss this match because it clashes with Australia v New Zealand.

I really wanted to visit Canberra and see France play.

But hopefully France will make it to the Semi Final Qual at Skilled Park, Gold Coast. icon_thumbs_u

Predicted highlights of this game:

The Scottish players receiving severe sunburn from the blazing 5PM Canberra sun.

Every time the ref shouts 'Surrender!' the French players drop to their knees and interlock their fingers behind their heads while the coaching staff wave white flags.

Cheese eating surrender monkeys!

Gold.

The cuisine at this game will be awesome.

Escargot vs Haggis

Think I'd rather a 4n20 pie :P

According to a Scottish guy I work with, deep fried mars bar (actually, deep fried anything) is fast becoming the national cuisine of Scotland!
