Well Boudjellal, I have just one thing to say to you, no sympathy [icon_lol1.

They must of had a research group made up of 15 year old school girls when they decided to throw mega bucks at sonny. Anyone with half a knowedge of the NRL knows sonney's only good for about 8 games a season before he's due for a break down.

At least they might start leaving our players alone now

Funny as it is, it's another typical beat-up from News Ltd.

Santa's warning to Sonny Bill Williams
By Dave Murray
December 22, 2008 SONNY Bill Williams is back on the footy field but his return has been greeted with a Christmas message from his eccentric French boss - "Santa Claus is going to buy some of my players train and airline tickets out of Toulon." [icon_evillaugh
Williams' Toulon side crashed to another defeat at the weekend - thrashed 33-8 at Montpellier - taking them to within a point of relegation to second division.

SBW came on as a second-half substitute but looked tentative and lacked his normal physical presence.

Toulon's woeful performance prompted another outburst from hot-headed president Mourad Boudjellal that will have alarm bells ringing for former NRL star Williams and his new rugby teammates.

"Terrible," Boudjellal stormed. "Father Christmas is going to buy train and airline tickets for some players."

Williams played at outside centre in only his second game since being sidelined for three months with a broken leg. With his teammates rapidly tiring, he had little chance to get involved.
Toulon conceded 25 points in the 40 minutes Williams was on the field.

One Toulon source said: "Sonny Bill needs time, but it is true to say his performance at Montpellier was no improvement on what we saw briefly before he was injured. He still has no impact on the game and now looks to have lost size and power."

Williams has the backing of besieged coach Tana Umaga as he tries to settle into a new code and country and keep off the list of injured players.

"There are many who believe Boudjellal's threats do not apply to (Williams) because he is still under the protection of the coach, Tana Umaga, who convinced the president to buy him in the first place," the Toulon observer said.

But Umaga's job is far from safe and he'll be gone from Toulon if the team drops from the top division, raising questions about what would become of the richly rewarded Williams.

Local media report that Williams has done little to win fans over since arriving at the club.

A French journalist said: "There are plenty of people who understand his difficulties in adapting to a new code and country while suffering serious injury.

"He needs time, but that is a commodity in short supply. Believe me, we would like to get to know him and pass his views on to the public.

"But he turns down every request for an interview by claiming he has an exclusive contract with an Australian TV station."

Williams gave an exclusive interview to Channel 9 following his shock defection. At the midway point of their first season back in the top league, Toulon have won only three of 13 games.

They are ranked at 12 of 14 and their best performances were at the start of the season. The bottom two teams drop back to second division and, on current form, Toulon will be one of them.

The team below Toulon is Castres Olympique, who lost only late and narrowly to the powerful Perpignan outfit that includes Dan Carter.

Volatile millionaire Boudjellal has said previously that his struggling side's biggest problem is that it recruited the wrong players this season.

He did not name Williams, but the man who walked out on his Bulldogs contract has much to prove to his new club and its supporters. "With the budget we had, we have not made a team that is competitive," Boudjellal said.

Two other Australians were in the Toulon squad, with former Penrith Panther Luke Rooney on the wing and former Brumbies and Western Force star Matt Henjak a reserve.
