We've also now found a way to beat the Sharks. Fifita says that Ennis often gets targeted because of his niggle, and that he often has to come in to "protect him". I don't like cheap shots, but if anyone deserves them it's Ennis. Do it in full view of Fifita and the dumb shit will get himself sent off in a heartbeat.

Or he might decide to run harder at our tiny forward pack and carry them for 200m

I thought Paul Kent made an interesting point on NRL 360.

He brought up Gould in the '03 series. During a video session Gould showed Hodgson's try from the scrum in the '02 series. QLD pushed in the scrum to the point that it twisted and the backrowers breaking off were on the opposite of Hodgson and that's why he scored the try. He showed them QLD's desire to keep playing on despite the fact that they had no chance of winning the game.

Then he fast forwards to Wednesday night, the Jennings try. He pointed out 4 players that were so desperate to get across to stop the try, which they thought was going to be in the corner, that they overran it and that's why Jennings scored.

He then goes on to say that until NSW show that kind of desire, they will never get the upper hand on QLD.

They showed that desire in 2014, but they didn't before then, and they didn't after.

He also used to show a close-up front on view of Webcke running full tilt at the Blues line with fire in his eyes and spitting venom. He told his charges to take a close look at the passion. Then he sent it out to the wider screen with the clock and score - 79 minutes, Blues up by about 16. He then made it very very clear that Qld will never give up, and will never let up. To not underestimate them.

Gus gets it. He's still about the only one south of the border who does.

Watching the replay, the post match interview by Laurie..

He thought it was game over when Boyd scored.. And when he came down the tunnel and heard the crowd cheer, he didn't think NSW scored a try. It was the last thing on his mind..

Their own coach had no faith in them..
