Mark Gasnier will hold a press conference this afternoon to confirm his return to St George Illawarra after a stint in French rugby union.

The club has negotiated a back-ended contract to comply with the NRL salary cap and News Limited says the four-and-a-half-year deal, to the end of 2014, is worth $1.9 million.

The 28-year-old centre is expected to make his return against the Panthers next Monday night at Kogarah Oval.

Great news for the Dragons and league in general. But will the Blues delay his return to the Dragons and call him up tonight?

A decent halfback is all they need. Hornby is rat shit. Soward is going great guns at five-eighth. Priddis is a consummate professional at hooker. And Boyd is carving up from fullback. Only piece of the puzzle missing is the 7 IMO.

youd think theyre going to have to offload a fair few players over the next few seasons, with paying $500k a year for an over the hill centre, and their relative success last year and this year.
