No not at all. I just find it sad. They have not achieved anything in the NRL. There is nothing to hate. It'd actually be good for Rugby League in QLD if they were actually half decent. It'd be excellent to have a genuine rivalry just down the road instead of the incest spawn of Michael Searle.

I get what your saying but I just couldn't give a **** about the Titans, I don't hate them because they mean nothing.

FWIW I would love to have another team on the Gold Coast or at least somewhere around here as if done right it would be great for the comp, but the Titans are just a Clusterfuck and they won't get any better. The need to start all over again with a complete new team, not just rebranding. Clean the joint out in the back office, make guys like Kane Elgey he face of the club and bring in players that are at least from QLD, not dickheads like Greg Bird.

They need a team that locals can embrace and the average local won't get behind the Titans while there is even a whiff of that **** Searle still around.
 
Frankly, this a pretty stupid, lazy idea.

When are the major sporting codes going to wake up and smell the tan in a can? The GC is a wasteland. Just leave it to the tourists. I'm utterly convinced the Bears would have a better chance on the West Coast.
 
Compassion for the Titans? **** that. I couldn't give two ***** about that stain of a club. It's not just them either. Any club who can't hold their own should **** off.

Especially the Titans.
 
It seems like a take over than anything else. The Bears are desperate to return so they will jump on any chance they get.

The Gold Coast isn't a sporting city and with the Broncos excellent recruitment and development for juniors coupled with other clubs having feeder clubs in the ISC it's no wonder the Titans don't have QLD players in the team. Northern NSW is very sports oriented so that is the best place for them to get juniors.

Agree with everything else, they are a shame of a club.
 
The Gold Coast Titans has always represented Northern NSW more so than Queensland.

All of these names have been registered by Norths Leagues:
- Gold Coast Bears
- North Coast Bears
- East Coast Bears
- Coastal Bears
 
They can't possibly be fair dinkum about moving games away from the GC.

I agree that it's not good for the future of League to more or less shitcan the Titans and play half of their home games in North Sydney, but on the other end of the spectrum, the Titans are not a well run organisation, and the number of fans that turn up to their games prove that.

I think the best thing would be to completely relocate the Titans to North Sydney, just bring the North Sydney Bears back for real. After that point, a couple of years in the future, expand the League to 18 teams, have another Queensland team (Potentially another chance for a Gold Coast franchise?), and a Perth team.

I just don't see any scenario in which this version of the Titans franchise succeeds on the Gold Coast, it's a waste of a team at the moment.

While I think that is one of the most hypocritical statements on this site, I won't go any further.

You want to talk about what's best for Rugby League? that isn't the Titans.

The Titan's are a disgrace. They are currently being propped up by the NRL because they have repeatedly shit the bed. Every time the **** up there is a scape goat, they claim to have learnt there lesson and the fucking do it again.

The have ripped off locals and have absolutely no identity that relates to the region they supposedly represent.

The best thing for Rugby League would for them to be abandoned, not just re-badged with games taken into NSW, abandoned and start from scratch.

I agree that an additional team to the Broncos is needed in this region but the license for that team needs to be taken away from the Titans and any remnants to that team removed. Keep guys like Elgey & Ash Taylor, make them the poster boys for this new team, where-ever it is actually physically located and make it a QLD team. A team that is comprimised of at least 50% qlders, preferably more. A team that identifies with local community and businesses, instead of ripping them off. A team that nurtures and grows their fanbase through on-field performance and community work, as opposed to 'Bronco Haters'.

That is what is best for Rugby League, not that shit stain of a club down the road whose biggest turnouts are when opposition fans travel.

I take 'pot shots' because Titans fans don't want to hear the truth.
