As Brisbane Broncos face the prospect of missing the finals for the first time since 1991, the club's management is making moves for a significant overhaul of the playing roster, with four big-name recruits being shopped around to rival clubs.

Ashton Sims, Ben Teo, Lagi Setu and Joel Clinton - all under contract until the end of 2010 - are the players the Broncos are looking to off-load.

While Clinton has shown glimpses of the form that earned him Test honours in 2004, he has struggled to carry the burden of being the club's forward leader - a mantle he was handed after a direct swap with Penrith for Petero Civoniceva last year.

Between them, Clinton and Sims take up an estimated $530,000 of Brisbane's salary cap. Teo is reputedly worth about $200,000, while Setu, who arrived at the club after a breakthrough season with St George Illawarra, is worth about $120,000.

Locking this as it's being discussed in another thread and has been since last night.
