Has Bennett lost his marbles?

Seriously I am baffled by this guy these days, I have always been a Bennett fan, but the last few years have left a real sour taste in the mouth.

How can a guy with so much experience keep making the selections he does when every man, his dog and his dogs fleas can see what a big mistake they are.

We see players get selected in positions like Stagg at 6, then 9 when they are really bad at it. We watch a kids shine like Hoffman only to see them get dropped while players like Robinson gets chance after chance, and don't get me started on Perry.

I would never have thought I'd say this, can't wait for him to leave and wouldn't be against him leaving yesterday.

I fully agree.

Bennett has been great and done it all, but it is becoming more and more obvious that he is a great attracter of great players and little more, (lewis, langer, Lazerus, Gillmiester, Tallis, Lockyer, Falou), but then he seems to just leave it to them to win the games.

Every now and again we have a good team win and even a good team season, but for the most part our success is at the hands of one or two brilliant players. 2000 was a great team side with great team wins and had a team premiership. 2006 was all but dead other than for a hand full of great performaces by our couple of superstars, short of that we've had 6 or 7 seasons of "send em out there and see what happens". It is very sad to see this happen, but perhaps it's just working for him any more.

I do agree to some extent particularly with the guys like Perry, Stagg, Meyers, Kelly, Minto, Carlaw who haven't/didn't perform week after week but still get a spot. Stagg at 6 is disgusting he obviously thinks he can use him like Mateo, Bird, Inglis or Gasnier as a runner off the 7, problem is he has the s##test running game going. Stagg is a good defender but never ever hurts opponents like Johnson or Tongue (who have similar workloads) and runs it weaker than a 5 year old girl. Perry - I have given up criticising him its just a big joke really.

We all know Jeb it was out of the blue (regardless of how great it was) and it has helped to hide the growing trends in WB's coaching where he has rewarded mediocrity.

It doesn't matter what people say, Bennett's one of the best coaches in history, in any sport, just ask the players who played for him.

Don't get me wrong people I am not questioning what he has done for the club over the yeaqrs, but that doesn't mean we should be blind to the obvious selection blunders that he keeps making over and over again.

It's come to the point where Bennett names Stagg at 6 and Perry at 7 that I feel it's almost not worth watching the game. Why name a team that has no points in it at all. If the same halves get named for the Tigers game I don't know if i'd even go... i love the Broncs but Bennett's poor selections just frustrate me.
Give some younger guys a go like Hoffman and Beale and please don't pick Perry or Reece Robinson!!!!!!!!!

it does seem a little like he's not too worried about the broncos future. I dont blame him for what Cullen has done. The team needs to bleed new players in these times like Beae/Hunt/Hoffman etc. But WB keeps putting perry and the likes in their place. like i said a while ago, if he likes perry so much then offer him a contract to be the dragons halfback next year.
