This sure will make the season a good test for outside backs now without him to rely on. Izzy must step up now.

IMO he is the player we could least afford to lose. With our squad make up I think he is our most important player. Wouldn't have mattered as much in seasons past where our matches were dominated by playing a power game through the middle. However without that ability these days we found last year we relied more and more on ball movement and players like Hodges being able to provide that X-factor. Hunt's loss just compounds it.

I think our best option now would be to tell Tim Smith to start training with the outside backs, I think he would be a perfect replacement for Hodges at right centre.

well now we do need Lockyer,Smith and Wallace all in the Starting side. Wonder how young Andrew Mc would go at Centre with Wallace in the 9 and smith in the 7....

I just heard Nick Kenny has chronic groin soreness. Timmy Smith would be the ideal replacement at prop :P

Seriously, Hodges is a big loss but not insurmountable. Hell, we might be able to have a real centre play there that actually runs at gaps rather than getting the ball standing still and trying to step his way around people.

Glenn at least for 2010 belong on the Bench imo. His best playing from there. AWESOME AWESOME player dont get me wrong but imo he should stay playing from the bench.

With Hodges out though he may well be the best option at center.

The thought of Steve Michaels at the moment makes me very worried.

I'm prepared to give Michaels a chance in the trials as last season he was coming back from a bad knee injury and had no confidence. If he recaptured his 2008 form we are sweet, if not Winterstein might be another option and also liked the look of Copely last year. Big loss but as chris said we have time to fix it.
