Hunt will find his edge: Alfie

Fair enough. I still see Hook as somewhat of a figurehead to some extent. Who knows how much input Gould has, maybe not as much as I alleged. But if things don't go so well I guarantee it will be Griffin not Gould getting the arse.

Fair enough mate.

And to an extent I agree. This isn't his roster - this is Ivan's roster and he just so happened to inherit it.

However, the questionable selections, the bizarre bench rotation, the surprisingly decent coaching performance against Bennett, the close losses, the bland and predictible game-plans is all Hook.

Even the Te Maire Martin and Peter Wallace @ 9 selections are reminiscent of how injuries would steer him into making the right moves. I just hope for Penrith's sake, he doesn't switch back at the first excuse.

He did pick Wallace at 9 for us so Hunt could play 7. But most of his selections were head scratching.

Out of necessity because the Broncos had Origin commitments and were short on reserves across the park.

After that, Wallace was off to Penrith and Hook was grooming Hunt for the gig. Prince/Hunt made the most sense (I guess...2013 can be a blur) and there was no point keeping Wallace as a half. Truth be told, Granville would have been better in the #14 but Wallace had been so tough and had been such a good clubmen that Hook was compelled to keep him on.
