So while we are all on our Finals Scenario Calculator's, have we missed the most trivial of facts or are we just denying it?
Storm and Manly have been, far and away, the two most dominant teams this year. To beat either team, anywhere, in any finals game is a monumental ask. Storm have only lost 2 games since the (hectic) Origin series. They have soundly beaten Manly (twice).
The Sharks, as great as they have been in defence, haven't got points in them....except in the last 5 games (4 wins), which have netted them (121 points) an average of 24 a game. Easily enough to beat Roosters and Broncos.
Roosters are far and away the poor performers in recent rounds, but remember they put away the Dragons, who easily accounted for us and the alarm bells start to ring.
Are we a real contender?
Or is this all a time -filler until the Sea Eagles host the Storm?
FTR; If there is one man who deserves to leave Brisbane with one more Premiership, it's WB.
