Remember you heard it hear first. He wants to play his whole career here with the Broncos. I'm sure that will deter the rah rah boys when in a few seasons he's killing it. Can he kick goals by any chance?

It's going to be an important litmus test for more than a few playing. Depending on what they do, they could be anywhere from the fringe of first grade selection, to the withering of some players futures with the club. Isaakos future looks pretty bright, but for the likes of funaki, or Murphy, time is running out.

Yes, he can kick goals.

how many players have said something similar only to jump ship when the big money offers come rolling in

The thing is will he go all Josh Hoggman on us if he gets sick of the wing. I don't see him good enough at fullback or center

Don’t go judging too early I rate him highly he’s a better all round player then Pearson. He could easily take over the goal kicking if Kahu flops or gets injured too.

Im not judging him to early, but i just dont see anything in his game that suggests he will be a fullback at NRL level. He may well do really well on the wing, and of course, he can kick, but at this moment in time Pearson is the better winger. Being a better all round player doesnt automatically make you better than a specialist in a certain position.

Pearson has the size and is pretty great in defence, he has speed too. It will be a good battle between them.

196 points last season.
80 goals. 85.1%
9 tries.
23 games.

Had a great start to the season last season, lulled and then came home again well.

108 tackle breaks was his strength, he runs the ball well. 2991m for the year at 130 a game. He's the sort of player that gets the ball and runs busting tackles. I'd like to see some evolving this year and maturing even in his running. He only had five try assists so he isn't contributing much with the ball for his team.

Sounds a lot like Hoffman back in the day. Hopefully with a better attitude.

How do you come up with that assessment? I assume that you are a regular spectator at ISC matches. I hope to God that your judgement isn't being based on the very few times you have seen these players on TV. If it is, then you are not qualified enough to comment on either guy because like me, I haven't seen enough of either player (especially Isaako) to make such a hard hitting comment.

I have watched in Qcup quite a bit and he always looks dangerous with ball in hand and is really quick off the mark.

I honestly think you have been watching the wrong player then because he isnt very dangerous with the ball in hand at all. He is a great goal kicker and his strength as 1910 pointed is his ball running.

He has great acceleration and his is good strengthis what I was saying, his passing game isn’t 1 of his specialties but can improve under Walters.

His traits for me at the moment suit wing better than fullback or center. Never been that impressed with his defence for the Magpies tbh. While i think Pearson is a better winger at this moment in time, i think he might get the nod ahead of him of he plays well in the trials just because he gives us that kicking option.

People judge Pearson way too much based on that one game against the eels lest year, he was very good for Redcliffe last year, but i do have this feeling Issako's kicking is going to get him the nod unless he stinks it up in preseason.

I hope and secures the wing spot and gets the goal kicking duties.
