Great news. Now next season we can look forward to "he is just finding his feet", "he needs to fit into the system" and etc for the first half season. The way he came back from injury this season, he will come back looking like Steve Roach next season.

But good luck to him anyway. I hope the surgery works out well and he comes back and plays well so another club, maybe Gold Coast, is willing to pick up a large % of his salary and Broncos can scour the universe for a good halfback to come on board.

Why didn’t they just send him for surgery when the issue came up again and he was given time off
He should have just gone for surgery right away not a few weeks later

A hint I think was in Bennett’s comment that he has to see another specialist first? Without any specific info on the nature of the injury, perhaps it is one that only ‘may’ be assisted by surgery and they have tried to manage it through non-surgical therapy means, but it simply hasn’t responded?
