Justin Hodges needs to be humbled

When Hodges returned from the Roosters and was hoping to re-establish his NRL career he kept his mouth shut! It was head down and ass up but for the last season or two he's got cocky again. I am disappointed that such a great player needs to debase himself with such poor on-field behaviour.

JUSTIN SHUT UP!!!

I don't think he can shutup, it's just who he is .... part of his character.

As long as it doesn't affect his onfield performances (or that of the teams) then i really don't care if he's a mouthy twat or not.

I don't mind Hodges niggling, I think it's good for his game (ala Ennis) but I think he needs to choose carefully when and where to do it.

It's gotten to the point now where he gets penalised nearly every match for mouthing off, which isn't good.

But I don't care after his showing in Origin 3, he can do whatever the hell he wants and I'll still like him.

LOLZ Franonymoustu.

The problem is he has a reputation for being a harmichael. So the referees are watching him. They don't tolerate it.

How can he change the situation? Shut his trap, quit the niggling and attempted penalty milking and get on with the game.

Justin Hodges is the only one out their playing for us who looks like he loves playing his footy!!!

Why ruin that? I love watching him play and I love watching his niggle. It's what Gus likes to call "gamesmanship" and I am a FAN!

Agreed.

What is one of the Broncos' major problems at the moment is an incredible lack of discipline. Hodges certainly has reflected this breakdown of discipline regarding the Broncos on many occasions.

The Broncos of old could put on their mantlepiece, discipline. However, the current team could put on their mantlepiece, ragtag.

A bit of niggle here and there is good, sometimes it goes too far though and that's bad sportsmanship IMO. When it gets to the point where we're getting penalised for it I get really pissed.

x100.

Justin God Hodges is a champion player and if everyone at the club had his level of commitment and attitude on the field we would be coming first by a mile.

If everyone on the field had his attitude we would lose every match as we would all be sent off and penalised 13 more times for every penalty that is awarded due to every single player thats on the field back-chatting.

We would make players run away from us and look like girls though.

Don't mess with his mojo [icon_non

No, if the whole team played with passion and heart like Hodgo then we wouldnt have the second worst for/against in the comp.
Thats just Justins passion not for the Broncos but for rugby league in general.

Keep it up, you wouldnt be the same without it Hodgo.

It is obviously a part of his game. Sheesh.
I agree sometimes it is extreme and he should choose where and when but I don't want a bloody robot out there ffs.

When did the ref actually blow the penalty for it? I've heard cautions handed out but can't recall a penalty.

Hodges' niggle and "passion" is fine...to a point.

He seems to gradually get more and more out of control until he's really costing the team. Then it takes something like his suspension last year to bring him back down to earth, and then the cycle starts again.

I love it when he's having fun with it and still in control, but when he gets frustrated he goes way overboard (though this is somewhat understandable with our form lately).
