I have very very high doubts whether Cam would have even entertained the idea.

At the moment he's coaching his son's junior side. Is it his son's? Anyway, going from juniors to the biggest RL club in the world? Pretty big leap...

Mal isn't NRL head coach material. He's had a go at it, it was horrible. He's not going to try again.

That's just a repeated myth, Mal did well at Raiders- he won 54% of his games and apart from his last year in 01 which didn't go well he had a consistent team that made finals and he had to over-see a huge transition of players and made some hard calls against former team mates which I think in the end made him not enjoy club coaching.
