Kewell has signed with...

Well he could have done worse. He should start every week he is fit for a team which has fallen well behind the benchmark Fenerbache. If he had gone to Roma he may have faced the same problems he had at Pool. Just hope he stays fit so the Socceroos can use him to his potential.

Would have liked to have seen him at Roma. All the best to him, I wasn't expecting him to go to Turkey.

Neither me. But I guess he really is that rubbish.

I dont know much about Galatasaray but he should be a good buy for them assuming he can stay fit.

Shame for the Olyroos they couldnt use him as one of their 3 over age players though! He would have been more than handy in their quest for a medal at the Olympics.

Keeps him closer to asia for wcq and acq, assuming he can take a direct flight from Turkey

Apparently he hasn't signed eusa_think

Yeh I heard that earlier tonight after there were reports that he had.

Said that his future will be decided tomorrow. eusa_think

Maybe Roma have put in a counter offer?

He should go to Turkey, at his age with his injury history the last thing he needs is to battle to get into the line up of a very very good side in a very good league when he would more than likely walk into Gala's team. Plus he will be closer to Asia which is always a plus.

Yeah apparently nothing is set in stone. He should sign with Gala anyway.

In other news Barca signed Dani Alves!!!! To go along with Keita, Pique and Caceres!!! Big clean out and some fresh faces which is good news. Deco, Zambrotta and Thuram are gone and Ronnie and Eto'o appear to be going as well these guys were at the heart of the discipline and form problems the side faced last campaign and with either Adebayor or Asharvin coming in too, all looks good for improvement and less complacency for the new campaign.

23.5m pounds for Alves is far too much IMO, but that's what football is these days, he'll be a very good signing.

I've heard they put in a 30m pound bid for Adebayor? I'm hoping that's not true because that is insane.

Yeah they probably did pay overs but he is class, Adebayor is over priced by a long way but if he plays like he did for Arsenal for Barca over the next few years he would be well worth it. Plus we have Bojan and Henry there already so a striker at the end of the day may not be necessary.

Relying on Henry for next season? [icon_lol1. I sure as hell hope so, more good times to come then. [icon_razz1

Henry wasn't as bad as people make out lol. He was much better towards the end of the campaign once he adjusted to not being the linchpin of the attack. In a perfect world would sign a target man with good skill at both distributing and finishing the guilt edge chances (basically a taller stronger Eto'o lol), Adebayor may be that but is over priced and Benzema showed at the World Cup he isn't ready for that sort of responsibility yet.

Henry was playing out wide a lot in Ronaldinhos absence wasn't he ?

Sometimes he was but he played in Eto'o's spot quite often due to the African Nations Cup and before that he was out for near 2 months, so Henry saw plenty of time up front and I think things turned for the better at that point. Wasn't that great and yes playing wider didn't help that so if he gets an extended run in the middle I certainly wouldn't put it past him to get his touch back.
