RUMOUR Kodi Nikorima to Storm

Kodi can play anywhere in the backline, not the worst idea to trial him at centre, he looked there the other week against the Cows when we were down a whole bench and he played wing/centre.

I know I keep harping on the D, but I can't see him defending in such a specialist spot. He might not be beaten on the outside, but one-on-one he'd get steamrolled too easily.

So basically a shorter version of Jack Reed?

The Lurker is saying we are a possible destination for Segeyaro, would be a handy replacement for Niko if he does go to the Storm.
Wayne would need to keep him under control tho.

So we are going to have; Niko, Niko, Segeyaro, GI. Man, this will be good.

True, but isn't Eden going to Newcastle? So that should free up enough in the cap....

Kahu to center, Niko to wing?

So next year:

1. Boyd
2. Kahu
3. Inglis
4. Roberts
5. Oates
6. Milford
7. Hunt
8. McGuire
9. Macca
10. Blair
11. Thaiday
12. Gillett
13. Parker

14. KNik
15. Wallace
16. Joffa
17. TPJ

That's with Reed and Glenn gone as rumours suggest and with JNik and Segeyaro as back up halves/hookers, Ese'ese, Arrow and Su'a as back up forwards and Anderson, Seve, Maranta and Opacic as back up backs. If that happened, we would want to win the premiership or salary cap busted trying.

Kodi on the wing seems like a horrible idea to me, he's like 5'7'', we could literally never bomb to his wing, and every other team with a half decent kicking game will kick to his corner every time.

You've gotta be at least 6ft to be a winger in this day and age, sorry to burst that bubble.

IMO Jayden is even less of a bench hooker as Kodi. He'd only be here as a backup half, but that's not a bad thing. He has hopefully learned that the promise of a starting spot and bigger dollars isn't necessarily the answer. Not at his stage of development. He should commit to us for 2 years - if he thinks he's good enough for the top grade, let him prove himself in Q-Cup while training and developing with one of the most professional NRL sides.
Well, if I was advising him ( fantasy world of course ) I would say....Kodi, get the absolute most cash from Melbourne, revel in the experience, enjoy Melbourne and its history, culture etc and learn from one of the very best coaches around. Imagine having Smith and Cronk, Slater and others to mentor you. We have nothing like that in our club. I suppose you could argue Parker and Boyd would do something similar but Kodi's position would benefit from having Cronk and a Smith as mentor advisors. Talk about one of the most professional sides ! It would be all upside playing for Bellamy.

Except he'd have to live in Melbourne, in dismal weather surrounded by insufferable twats who won't stop harping on about AFL and how the coffee's better and the culture's better and the pizzas and the asian food (!) and everything under the sun is just so much better in Melbourne because it's the only real international city in Australia and on and on it'll go until the guy tops himself just to make them shut the **** up.

he is already at a club with great structures and the best coach in history at the helm

Yeah, but no Smith, Cronk and Slater, which are imo some of the smartest players the game has ever seen.

Billy Walters, the next Queensland great! - YouTube

Has Kevvie's son ever had anything to do with the Broncos? Video was on RLW website saying he did the pre-season with the storm.

You'd think if Bennett rated him this would have been the off-season to sign him - 5/8th, Hooker depth is an area we need help in... Then again maybe Broncos didn't consider him/he didn't consider Broncos with his old man coaching there.

Nailed it! I feel your pain my man, ridiculously so! This weather is freezing at the moment...and rain is coming. Gah!
