Just wanted to say good on Ashton Sims. This time last year you had a game to forget, but last night he was awarded MOTM.

Go you good thing!!!

He was a powerhouse. I really hope the Broncos sign him up on a new contract. Ever since he was threatened with being offloaded to another club he has stood up and shown he wants to be a Bronco.

yeah, sims was fantastic last night, have been a big critic of him but the last half of this season Sims has been playing like a man possessed.

the only negative thing is that it took threatening to discard him to show this sort of performance.

He was good early on in his tenure here, but gee did he step up last night. Great hits and was fantastic on attack too.

Play Melbounre next this week. Lets see at the end of 80 if hes got the monkey off his back..... or repeats last year and hands them a GF berth... time will tell.

His first season was forgettable but this season, especially the last 6 or 8 games he has shown everyone why they (Broncos) signed him up in the first place.

He is a man on a mission- which is to apologise to all the fans for his preliminary final mishap last season imo

Simsy, Kenny, Taylor, Thaiday, Parker, Setu and Carroll are all playing like true champions IMO. I don't have a clue what Henjak has told them but they're playing out of their skins.

You're a harsh Bronco fav if you haven't forgiven him for that by now IMO - and I was really one of those livid people at the time, he didnt 'cost' us the game but losing the ball in that fashion was ghastly within the context of the game.

However, you can't grudge a player forever over it - he's only human. Clearly he is also having a real dig out there. Last year is last year IMO.

I forgave him ages ago, I have never held a grudge against anyone at the Broncos. Yes, the post may look like that but it wasn't intended in that way. It was meant to be praising him, not criticising him.

I've been a fan of his for a few years now, and was glad the Broncos decided to sign him.

Let's hope he stays for a few more years as i believe he has a lot more to offer our great club icon_thumbs_u

Pretty sure there is a thread about this, started by a good looking dude.

Really, all that can be said is that he is:

Simsply the Best!

Just keep wearing that blue shirt under your jersey Ashton.

Ashton - the time has come for redemption. Can you stand up? I think you can, do yours and our broncos jerseys proud! Drop a ball at a crucial time and I think your career with the broncs may be over, especially in many fans eyes!
All the best Ashton - Rip them up!!!!!!! FIRE UP!!!!!!!!!

As far as i'm concerned, he has already redeemed himself with his performances over the past few weeks.

If he drops the ball again, his career will be far from over. What a bizarre thing to say.

Seconded. Anyway, technically he can't be the only one blamed for last year. If I remember correctly, everyone was dropping the ball like crazy towards the end of the match, Sims was just unlucky that he was the last person to do it. But then again, by that stage of the game he probably should have held onto the ball better.

Yep. If our attacking players got some more points, it wouldn't have been a big deal.
