The annual exodus of stars to the English Super League could be over following a crackdown by Britain's Inland Revenue on tax-free loopholes.

The news has Australian club bosses and managers warning players deals in England could be in danger of losing their tax-free lump sums if Super League clubs are slugged with massive bills.

Good. It stated in the article that if a player earnt $100 000, then they would get to keep $90 000 and $10 000 would be set aside for tax or image right purposes.

I would love to have a job where I could take home 90% of the gross. But why shouldn't the economic crisis hit football players? This just seems to be another factor, along with toughened immigration laws, that will make it harder for players to piss of to England when things get tough.

The British government said far before the economic crisis
