Now I had a think about Peter Peters sacking today and I pondered the following question.

How the f#ck can a supposedly professional footy club sack a guy for one poorly timed but largely unoffensive comment yet not sack a player who physically assaulted a club sponsor at an official club season launch a few years ago? How can Manly operate and claim to be even remotely professional when they are so disgustingly inconsistent with their human resource policy.

Don't you get it yet? It's all David Gallop's fault.

That is what they are saying but there is plenty of chatter in the media which suggests they sacked him basically because of this.

He was sacked for a number of things.

From reports Manly weren't happy with Peters dissing Lockyer becoming an immortal.

He doesn't get on with the CEO Perry.

The Manly board want to get rid of the old goats at the club.

I really don't need extra reasons to hate the Manly scum, but they keep coming! :finger:

Another reason to hate Manly. Their bitching about not playing at Brookvale on the weekend.

FFS dickheads, stop blaming others and get off your arse and get to the fricking game. A 21km drive is not that far. It's just not. If you love your team so much, than a 21km drive to see them play a FINALS game should not be an issue.

But it's never Manly's fault.......

Yeah the attitude of manly is off the charts at the moment. I bet the clubs and pubs were busy on Saturday night.

It boggles my mind they didn't get at least Brookvales capacity, it is a semifinal FFS!

See even Rock can't defend the Sydney crowd on this occasion!!!

You say that as if a 30 min drive could be an excuse.

Manly fans are the biggest fair-weather fans in the comp. That's been the case ever since they came into the league. I'd be surprised if half of them even knew where Moore Park was let alone felt like making the effort to get there.

I'm sure they will have their chauffeurs drive them there in week 3.

But the thing is that most of the Manly fans that go to Brooky are complete and utter bogans that don't fit that stereotype therefore should be able to find the time to travel to the city to watch their alleged beloved team!

It's seriously like Mt Druitt by the sea there...

Yeah, but see, if it's a choice between a six pack of the cheapest piss available and buying a bus ticket to the game - or worse, paying for parking - they'll pick the piss every time surely.

Very true...and it would actually be 2 or 3 buses from there so I can see the bind they are in...

Plus there's no hill at the SFS. They'd be expected to sit down in seats. That's just not the done thing up Brookfail way.
