most overrated "player"?

Clearly not Hannant...I'm thinking it is a shoot out between Glenn, Gillett, Reed, and Hoffman. All internationals, all show up for games in a daze.

For Glenn and Gillett - vey hard to split - they are at the top of the missed tackle percentages for backrowers for the past 3 seasons. So hard to pick important distinctions. I'd probably say Glenn. "Future captain" should mean "not short fat lazy centre masquerading as a missed tackle expert on the edge of the ruck with no ability to run the ball with any damaging effect". But Gillett consistently impresses me with his ability to bludge on the wing and show up for a "great" try once every three games that has everyone raving. I am thinking a weaker version of Dane Carlaw?

Reed and Hoffman - again tough to split. Neither player was taught to pass beyond U12s training. But at least Hoffman can change direction when he runs?

Surely it's Jordan Kahu. Kid has done nothing but apparently he get's to walk into the number 6 spot when he is fully healed according to some people on here. If it's not him it is Kennedy.

I wish people would stop singling out Gillett. He's one of the single most important players in this side.

His mistakes are no less significant than anyone else's, and if one looks objectively at his contribution this year his importance is bloody obvious.

Glenn, different story. He has contributed very little.

Kennedy is a waste of space.

The real issue is poor coaching. Hook is simply unable to get the best out of basically a good roster

Kennedy & Reed. By far. Followed by Gillett. I feel sorry for Glenn. He's a line runner and obviously Griffin has absolutely no set plays that utilize his line running ability.

Also going on hype, Kodi Nikorima. Everyone talked him up as a saviour after the 9s yet he could moved out of his 5/8 position in the 20s by his 17 year old brother.

I think it would have to be Martin Kennedy. we all got too excited because he was so good as a youngster and because he got named as Queensland's 18th man (even though he wasn't good enough). and then when he finally arrived and we watched him week in and week out, we realised why Sydney fans weren't devastated about him leaving.

Thaiday. He rarely gets through much work, and often seems to be the last person to get back into the defensive line...but he keeps making every rep side.

Kennedy, purely because of his massive paycheck. He isn't terrible, he's actually a good defender, but he's not worth any more than 200K a year or so.

Gillett, while certainly a better player than he was last year, still can't defend.

definitely thaiday. he should be making 100 metres plus every game but has often struggled to make 50. and thats while playing backrow running at half backs. he rarely makes it past the advantage line and usually drops like a sack on first contact

Gillett. He is a good back rower but some people make it seem like he is one of the best in the game. He is inconsistent and a lazy defender.

Reed is overrated by the media.

Hoffman is underrated for mine. He has the potential to be an awesome centre/winger yet he never gets picked there.
