Nate Myles fined, sacked over booze drama

lolz, slap on the wrist for Frank-Paul, too hard basket for Carney but sack the guy leaving in two games anyway!

You can ALWAYS rely on the Sydney Roosters to take the hard action where necessary.

Sacking Myles while he has two games left on his contract is a BIG DEAL. It takes balls of steel to make tough decisions like that.

I would like to give credit to the Roosters CEO Mr Noyce and his mentally tough board members.

The Sydney Roosters really are a shining light in rugby league administration, all credit goes to them. They are true administration role models in a game clearly lacking role models at an administration level.

I would like to congratulate the Sydney Roosters on their actions, truly deserving of applause.

Carney is bound to get experts saying, if he is sacked it will do damage to his self help 'progress'.

it would do the Roosters' playing group a massive favour if Carney was removed. Not that Carney is necessarily a bad bloke or a bad influence on his teammates, but when a club starts setting double standards and giving certain individuals more liberties and chances than others - forget it, you're done. The resentment spreads like a cancer.

That whole club is already a cancer.
When's the last time the Roosters have been anything but completely negative for the game? I can't remember.

What will drunk Carney do to get in the headlines at the going away party.

Wonder if they would have done it if they were playing for a spot in the finals in the remaining 2 weeks

The proper question is "wonder if they would have done it if he was still on their books for next year"
