NEWS Nothing can hold Boyd back

He seems like a quiet personality. Definitely one who leads by actions and would have 100% respect from the playing group.
If you watch games live you will see that Gillett talks more than just about anyone. He is continually talking to and organising the right side.

Gillette would make a great captain.

He showed he can be a good leader during the 2015 pre-season. When the players were struggling and wanted to pack it in, he got right behind them and gave them the motivation to keep going.

Whether that means he would be a good captain on the field, who knows? It’s a different environment out on the field, but I think he would do the job quite well.

Lllllll
If I was going by leadership, someone like Shane Webcke would much higher as well. There's no way, as far as captains go that Gilmeister and his three games can be above Boyd. And I dare say that if we are taking the clubs difficult times into account that Boyd getting us into the top 8 in 2018 would be somewhat similar to the tumultuous time Miles had when he was captain. Wouldn't have been easy being the Broncos captain this year.
Fair enough. I wouldnt either, but if were choosing between them playing today, miles or gilmeister would be my preference.
I agree Boyd has had a tough time over the last year and expect him to suprise a few people. I think at times he has been lost in exasperation at the ineptitude of a few of his team mates or guilty of trying too hard, hence the early comebacks with the inevitable questions of form or recurring injuries, leading other to question his motivation.
Given two good legs and his ability to set up others in attack, he might be the captain we hoped for last year, leading a still inexperienced backline in whatever direction seibold takes them.

FTR, I would've gone with McCullough, who regardless of his talent, always puts in 100% effort, seems to be a genuinely good bloke, appears to be fairly smart and a pretty good speaker too.

Really....in what world?

He continually looks lost at dummy half....forgets half the plays.......and for some reason seems to think no-one is onto his "sneaky" dummy half run at the try line.

He's as dumb as dog shit....IMHO.

He speaks very highly of you, as does Peter Wallace.
