I had to laugh when Paul Kent suggested that the game would be better if the clubs controlled the games finances.

The same clubs that reportedly lost a combined total of $36 million in 2016.

Give control of the games finances and the game will be broke in 12 months

To be fair they're not purely losing money because they're badly run. The over-saturated Sydney market is a legit concern, and did i hear that they're no longer able to rely on pokies money?

But I still agree they shouldn't have control over the money. The point of the independent commission was to look after the whole of the game. Not just the top 16 clubs.

I think the clubs want more money, the NRL don't want to give them what they want.

The NRL also want the richer clubs to be responsible for the poorer clubs and bail them out whenever they are going broke. The richer clubs don't want to so the NRL have been trying to play hardball with them.

The clubs also want a voice on the commission.

That's what's been revealed so far. There could be a lot more.

3. They still haven't finalised the salary cap

The 3 biggest things the clubs need sorted, and the useless pricks in head office can't get their shit together and sort it out. You can't do business without those very big decisions being made.
