Rugby league has become a game for who cheats best.
The wrestle, the slapping at the ball, the deliberate penalties inside 10, the sudden clumsiness in the ruck, the accidental arm between the ball and the player, the head bin rorting and the latest bit of stupidity of 2 players in a tackle and 1 dropping off when the other has a good grip on the ball so they can be 1 on 1.
Its very hard to watch and all coach driven.
The coaches have a lot of say, as do the players, about rules and what the game should look like these days and this is where they have led us.
When will they be held to account .
When will the administrators take back control of how the game should be played .
I'm finding the game less enjoyable to watch every year.

Cowboys release injured star following ‘traffic incident’

The Cowboys have released injured winger Nene Macdonald from the remainder of his contract following a traffic incident on Magnetic Island last month.

In a statement put out on Friday, the club said the 25-year-old had been released by ‘mutual agreement’ with the Cowboys, Macdonald and his management deciding he needs time away from the game.

The club also confirmed they would be providing him with ongoing support.

Just last month it was revealed Macdonald was being investigated by the Cowboys and police following a traffic incident on Magnetic Island.

A hire car was written off in an accident, while police said open alcohol containers and Macdonald’s driver’s licence were found in the abandoned car.

The club issued a statement at the time.

“The North Queensland Cowboys are aware of an alleged traffic incident involving a squad member overnight,” the statement read.

“The club has been in contact with the player in question as well as the NRL and will be making no further comment on this matter until internal investigations are completed.”

Macdonald has not played first grade since fracturing and dislocating his ankle against the Storm in round 5.
