NRL looking at radical changes.

It's a bit radical but I'd like to see:

- 40 minute halves
- 10 interchanges
- 13 players a side plus 4 on each bench
- Moratorium on future rule changes

- 12 teams
- full home and away season
- origin on standalone weekends

thats all they need to do to make the game much better. reduces "player burnout", gets an even draw, and lessens the impact the pinnacle of the game has on the regular season.
Shit ! AP and I agree, who knew that he and I were Superleague supporters...and I thought we only shared oxygen !

No to American football. Video ref rules on forward passes ( it requires an innovation I have designed but won't share here ) 6 interchanges only but free interchanges for foul play. A reduction in the number of Sydney teams and I would love a 12 team comp with a second conference that is televised as well. Definitely a promotion and relegation system.... It keeps interest in games that would otherwise be virtually pointless. Plenty of opportunities for advertising...

Personally I would get rid of forward passes altogether. Offside rules will keep it from becoming gridiron and allowing forward passes will eventually tempt players to throw interceptable passes. And more importantly, it'll lead to more line breaks and chances to see fast men in space racing against each other. Game needs more of that.

-They need to ban blockers on kicks. It's unfair and poorly ruled upon.
- Shoulder charges should be legal as long as no contact is made with the head. What's the difference between an attacking player running forward and using their shoulder?
-Saturday afternoon games. Like 2 o'clock.
-6:45 kick off on friday with two live games. If two Friday night games are held in Sydney they must be double headers at the one stadium.
-Faster play the balls.
-Captains challenge
-I don't like this not allowed to talk to the refs business. That was the whole idea of having a captain. Otherwise there is no use in having one. Both the players and the refs need to be more respectful towards each other.
-Every player should be allowed one punch on Josh Reynolds per game.
-One ref please! Too many different opinions on what is happening means a lot of the calls are ridiculous and make no sense.
-Video refs should be able to rule on forward passes. I don't even get why that is a thing?

This! Some people actually discussed this one day, and decided it was a good idea. How the.... why the.... wha... it's just dumb.

Not a big fan of a lot of these ideas, tbh.

The powers that be are trying to create artificial stoppages to try and generate revenue. I get that. It's a professional business. If a guy writes you a billion dollar cheque then I'm guessing you'd hear his ideas out if it means he's willing to write you a 2 billion dollar one a few years from now.

I'm a dinosaur but I believe rugby league is a tough game and should be played that way. If you want quarter time go watch fairy ball.

The thought of spending 2 hours watching a single game is a joke. The game is already too slow with so many stoppages etc. Eighty minutes is an eternity. We need ways to speed it up not slow it down even more.

Origin has gotten so big to the point that it's going to rate well and sell out (apart from that debacle with the tickets this year) no matter what day of the week it's on. Why not Sunday night a la 2001?
