I thought I would start a thread where people can post highlights videos of NRL matches. I will be making highlights videos of games I have, including a couple of games from way back in the 60's. The first video was done already.

If this kind of thread already exists, then please move it there.

2006 Semi Final - Newcastle Knights vs Brisbane Broncos

There's a gun user on youtube posting about 12 minute long videos of each NRL game each round which are shit loads better than the official highlights. Just search Round 3 Broncos v Roosters 2014, for example.

Sorry, but I can't access youtube ATM

Yo SF, if you could put together some 08 highlights for each game, that would be amazing.

Next up, the Round 2 clash between Broncos and Roosters. I'm having some problems with the Panthers game, a little sound problem when editing it. I'll see what I can do.

I completely forgot about this thread. These videos are long overdue.

I remember going to that game and then being pissed off that Locky and Hunt weren't in the side. That was one of the few times where I didn't know what the line ups were I think.

Wal is going to be an interesting case over the coming years.

I thought he was a damn good player for us up until the mid-way through 2009 where he was exposed big time for NSW and he just never truly recovered. At best he had good runs of form and could do a job but any potential he had as a premier half was long gone.

Just makes you wonder where he would be at if Bennett was still coaching. Things are looking positive at Penrith although he still has his odd moments that make me grateful we have Hunt.

08 is one of my favourite seasons in recent memory but I'm surprised at how little I actually remember from it. I think it's because in those specific games SF linked I was at the game (v Cowboys, think I was a day shy turning 18) and the Roosters game was delayed so I listened to ABC where Morrow went off like the Hunt hit was as bad as Les Boyd on Brohman and don't think I watched the replay all that closely. Replays obviously don't tell the whole story but a couple of things I got out of them...

*Boyd was in good form and you could tell he wasn't far off the type of form he'd produce at the Dragons
*Michaels was a handy player when he still had speed
*Hannant always seemed to play better when he copped a knock.

This is the game that convinced me that Ennis was going to have a big year and be a huge asset to the Broncos.

He destroyed the Knights in this game.

I was a bit unhappy when we lost him. He did get a little carried away at times, but he had that competitors edge. Something McCullough lacks a bit of.

Oh awesome, can't wait to watch some of these on the weekend. 2008 was one of my favourite years, despite the agonising loss in the finals.

Cheers @Super Freak!

Ha, Brut Big Hit, I remember that. Yeah, Ennis was superb that year. Great passing off the ground and great support play (which we are missing right now), and then also the great running game and catching markers offside, like Macca does too.
