We can't be over the cap after cutting Moose loose, surely.

It won't be about this season, it'll be about previous seasons. We can't get busted for going over the cap in a year that is not even complete.

If this is even a thing.

Even the past 3 seasons is incredibly unlikely. What's the average age of our top 30 the past few years?

So take the last three years winning trophies from us, see if we care.

Not sure about this one. I do think it will strengthen their spine. It would be worth it if they've got money to splash for one year.

Moving SJ and Luke on have been good long term moves from the Warriors imo. They were never going to win a comp with those two in their side, and they have plenty of talent coming through in hooker (Roache and Jazz this year) and in the halves (Keighren, CHT, Perham). They're going to finish 6-12th this year anyway and are no chance of winning the comp so may as well cop a year or two in the dumps for success later, especially when you consider that the storm and rorters are going to slide down the ladder once Cronk and Smith retire or get crap with age.

Still waiting on this. Is RTP actually Daniel Dowell?

Oh that all got closed up last week. It was the Storm, the Roosters, and the Sharks, but it seemed it was all a mistake. Turns out the briefcase was never actually full of incriminating evidence, it was empty all along. And completely unrelated to the auditors being spotted down the bank depositing some wads of cash they forgot they'd hid under their mattress years ago.

Haven't seen any articles yet, but on the radio (Dobbo) they said that the Storm are currently $600k over the cap for 2019. They won't be allowed to play unless they get under by Round 1.

By the rules, the player(s) that last signed will be made to sit out if they can't get under. That player is... Cameron Smith.

Apparently they're shopping around Sam Kasiano, though I can't see how him alone would free up $600k.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

And his signing took ages because he was holding out for more money iirc. He wouldn't do one season on the cheap for the club who made him, gave him free boats, a testimonial for more money, 2 contracts with more money, and then protected him from the fallout. Oh yeah he's a great clubman.

They will find some way around it. They will probably be able to release Kasiano and sign someone else and still get under the cap magically.

Yeah, it's the year for it. Reports of being over the cap, sign more players. WTF is going on?

He along with Bellamy are the biggest cancer in the sport. RL will be much better off when these two are no longer involved.
