Gundry has been in sensational form; against the Pride he just tore them apart last week. Bears haven't hit form yet and he's only played three games and Bears don't play finals, so NRLQ is his big chance in 26. I love the way he brings back the ball.
Coates played Cup now the last two weeks and scored two tries. He's been his typical Coates some great, good and bad. Interested to see what he brings from Cup. He can't ignore the fact that when the Broncos needed an outside back on the bench they picked Verhoeven.
Patterson- is the interesting one, I like him he's scored five tries this year and he finds the line for Wynnum nearly every week. He starts Wynnum sets off and games well. Great hands and relationship with Gifford.
McConnell- Love him being captain. He's playing A grade on the Gold Coast because he can't crack Cup for Bears. But he can play Cup. He just needs that chance. These games will suit his jump up anywhere style, he scores a try today just being in the right spot.
In the forwards is where Broncos couldn't go with the Dolphins in 25 so this is interesting.
Francis apart from his try against Tweed hasn't shown too much yet in 26. Two games just aren't enough football. Hopefully this wakes him up a bit. His near game saving chase and near tackle against Wynnum was great too but just hasn't been seen enough.
Turner again playing A grade on the Gold Coast, I think he was the Broncos best in 25.
Shibasaki, oh dear another chapter. one Cup game in 26 and he played 48 minutes at lock last week against Mackay one of his four old Cup teams! He was really poor last year in NRLQ, just didn't look interested at all. Just some enthusiasm would be good. He's the only NRL player in the Broncos side.
Bryce, made his Cup debut last week and played 80 minutes. He would be the perfect 18 or 19 in the Broncos. He always overcomes anything he loses in size. Few offloads last week with the big boys and a break down field he handled it with 30 tackles.
Bukowski has had a mixed bag of form for Wynnum, which pretty much sums up Wynnum. Really poor against Dolphins and more than likely just plays this one game for Broncos.
Bench is full of wild and free big men- lesson learnt from 25.
Saunders- another A grade Gold Coast product.
Kleijn- just for something complete different he's from the Sunshine Coast- Broncos must have got lost and turned north instead of South. He played against Francis two weeks ago and held it against him. Made 30 tackles in the middle playing the whole game. Was massive against Tweed. He doesn't stop just wants to go. He's my people will be talking about him after this player.
Williams first year of League and he's another one that rips in, Broncos have picked plenty of Wynnum forwards because they're the form team and Williams is part of that. He was huge last week against Cutters. Cutters were undefeated and Williams and Kleijn just took a real not on our watch attitude.
The sneaky number 18- Payten Gifford is flying under the radar and will get a run at some time. He's been sensational for Wynnum this year. Kicks goals and in a fun fact is the half that Francis couldn't run down in his huge chase for Wynnum to win the game. If Gifford and CHT are the future of the Broncos halves, it's going to be exciting. Roosters had him but seemed to always play him in the forwards in Harold Matts but he's at Wynnum now and playing well at 7.
