Stoked with the news, I'm a fan of Kahu and I think he has huge potential.

There was no way he was going to sign for another club, the kid wanted his shot to play for us so badly and to make it after those injuries is a credit to him :thumbup1:

It will be interesting to see if he is a regular starter at the start of next season. If we get Barba, he'll either push Copely to the wing or fight out with Oates for a wing spot.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Oatestar but I think Kahu and Copley should be ahead of him for a wing spot. What will be interesting is who out of Copley and Kahu get the wing spot.

I'd start with Copley in the centres. Kahu's defence is kinda suspect, and Copley played a lot there in the U20s, I think.

You're right Alec, I think Copley played exclusively in the centres in NYC while Kahu sort of shuffled between wing & centre. Copley was the better of the two back then and had an amazing try scoring strike rate but his biggest concern was his defence which I believe came down to inexperience more than anything.

Hard to really rate who'd be better at this stage. Copley is coming off a season ending leg injury and Kahu is still finding his feet after two years off. Copley is sort of the Tate style of winger - runs good lines, competes well etc. but Kahu is more skillful and has better foot-work.

It'll come down to the trials.
