Paul Carriage at his finest

[icon_lol1. Carrige.

Wasn't he on the Broncos books at one stage? Geez I bet Kelly and Michaels wish he had a game or two, he'd make them look like Mal Meninga!!!!

talk about a barry crocker! Not even his team mates were surprised or looked like they cared about him

its a good laugh, but Harrigan got that 'drop out' call 100% wrong. the ball was still in motion when he touched it, so it should have been a 20m tap.

Yep, but it was the right call morally. That was a disgraceful rule.

the rule was probably the worst rule ever in rugby league. it essentially made some teams in-goals ~5m, as i think the minimum they could be was 6m - and some teams took advantage of that - and you could easily stretch out 1m and touch a ball with your foot over the sideline, probably closer to 2m.

i hate the current 'out on the full' rule as well, that allows you to have a foot over the sideline and catch it and its considered out on the full.

While I agree with you AP I don't want to detract the focus of this thread from the sheer hilarity of one of, if not my favourite league memories of all time! The ineptitude of Carige coupled with the collapse of Parramatta in that game never fails to bring a smile to my face!

Hearing Peter Sterling's disgust was golden!
Seeing the disgust on Carige's teammates' faces was diamond encrusted platinum!

the only other individual performance that is as equally lol-worthy as that is watching Michaels' attempts at tackling Souths players last year. whatd he let in, 6 tries single handedly?

wouldve been even more hilarious if he wasnt playing for the Broncos when it happened.

Hodges in that Origin was another candidate, handing NSW two tries with miracle balls in his own in goal.

true. for a centre to be pulled out of a State of Origin match because he was playing so poorly is basically unheard of.

Haha, that is the highlight for me. Every time Carige got the ball, you just hear this groan come from Sterlo. [icon_lol1.

Didn't you guys hate the dogs more back then?

It churned me how they were able to escape jail... unless this is the case of an enemy's enemy is a friend.

In saying that 100% Parra's fault

I was happy because I had no fears of the Broncos playing the Bulldogs in the GF.

The Eels worried me.

Absolutely not! For me, Parra have always and will always rank about 1,746th in my rankings of favourite NRL teams...
