Good news: we're the second most desirable club after the Roosters. Even with Pies steering the ship. Full poll results aren't out yet, but Fifita only comes third in the second row, probably because he's been out most of the season.

Who wouldn’t want to go to the Roosters.

You get one pay direct deposited into your nominated account and then a nice fat brown paper bag arrives at your doorstep later that same day.

Seems we're a bit under-rated this year...

Is that Daniel Topou one uploaded in error? I wouldnt have thought he's in the top 10. Nevermind...

Best recruitment officer - Peter No Lan (ger required).

So that team is the Roosters and some fill-ins, salary cap doing its job.
So much this....

Step 1)
Clubs that develop talent need more protection to retain them. e.g. if someone joined the Broncos program at 15 - played through ISC and gets a run at the Broncos in first grade at 20 (5 years with the club) there should be some compensation to the Broncos for that 5 year investment. Should not be a level playing field to retain them after their entry level contract.

Poaching clubs (like the rorters) should be punished for not paying for development of the next generation.

Step 2)
Bring on a draft.

Langer is definitely still required, in fact I would like him to be more even more involved.

That system would benefit the Roosters as much as anyone else, they had 10 players debut for them in the 17 from the 2018 Grand Final. That 15-20 age group is where they excel.

But most of those debutants would have been poached out of ISC/CC while already belonging to another club right? (is there a list of this anywhere?)

1. James Tedesco - Wests Tigers 2012
2. Daniel Tupou - Sydney Roosters 2012
3. Latrell Mitchell - Sydney Roosters 2016
4. Joseph Manu - Sydney Roosters 2016

5. Blake Ferguson - Cronulla Sharks 2009
6. Luke Keary - South Sydney Rabbitohs 2013
23. Cooper Cronk - Melbourne Storm 2003
8. Jared Warea-Hargreaves - Manly Sea Eagles 2009
9. Jake Friend - Sydney Roosters 2008
10. Sio Siua Taukeiaho - Warriors 2013
11. Boyd Cordner - Sydney Roosters 2011
7. Mitchell Aubusson - Sydney Roosters 2007
13. Victor Radley - Sydney Roosters 2017

12. Isaac Liu - Sydney Roosters 2013
14. Dylan Napa - Sydney Roosters 2013

15. Zane Tetevano - Newcastle Knights 2011
17. Ryan Matterson - Sydney Roosters 2016

Both Tupou and Matterson came from the Eels NYC system, Boyd Cordner was a star of the Knights U/16s side the rest I'm pretty sure were recruited by the Roosters.

It also works the other way with Angus Crichton. Actually came up through the Roosters U/16s and U/18s only to be bought over to Souths. In exchange, Sydney ended up getting Nat Butcher.
