OMG! I don't know if anyone else in Brisbane was listening to Nova this morning but they had Rebecca Wilson on - obviously to talk about the whole Matthew Johns saga. Anyway they let her have her say and give her opinion and she was also saying that basically everyone agrees Matthew Johns is completely wrong and deserves everything he gets. The Michelle Laurie (the chick on the Nova breakfast team), who has little to zero football knowledge and would certainly not say she is a fan of the game has her say. And Michelle was saying, well it's interesting Rebecca that you are saying everyone thinks what you do - I've seen a number of polls on it and they are generally split 50/50, within my circle of friends and on twitter there is massive debates and people are actually divided on the issue - who is/was right/wrong; what should happen to Johns etc. (Note - she wasn't defending Johns or saying that what happened wasn't wrong just that not everyone agreed with Wilson). And Wilson just cuts her off and goes "Why did you ask me on this show? I received 500 emails and all of them were completely anti-Johns, I forwarded them all to David Gyngell and he told me he wanted to cry after reading them." And then Michelle goes, "Yes but not EVERYONE agrees. It seems to me you have an axe to grind". And Wilson was like "I don't have an axe to grind, Matthew Johns was a friend of mine. Anyway don't ever call me and ask you on your show again if you want a balanced opinion" and just hangs up!

Seriously talk about a woman who thinks hers is the only opinion that counts and if you disagree then you are just plain wrong. And imagine her saying that she is the one who will always give a balanced and impartial view on anything to do with RL. [icon_lol1. That woman is one of the worst things to happen to RL.

Now this thread is not about whether you agree with Rebecca's view on this current saga or not (keep that in the other thread) but really about her reaction to someone disagreeing with her. What a waste of space her columns are.

Ha ha ha ha ha. I wish I had heard that!!! I read her article the other day when it came out and she crucified Matt Johns gleefully, she is an agenda driving witch.

She is a waste of oxygen. I feel traumatised everytime I read one of her "articles".

If what she said is true (which I doubt) that she sent "500 emails" to Johns's boss at channel 9, and that contributed to his sacking, then I feel less at ease with that decision.

It wouldn't put it past her to fabricate emails to suit her own agenda.

I'd certainly recommend we cc him into our emails to Ms Wilson - then maybe he will get the point that she is not worth having as an employee.

Hence she wants to bring it down. I wouldn't call what she does reporting on RL - I call it bad-mouthing the game all over town.
