Re: Reed vs Copley

I've got to say, when the news came out that the Broncos were going to release Copley, I was a little stunned. Of course logistically it made the most sense, but say if there was a choice I would have taken Copley every day that ended in y.

Unfortunately all these injuries have mounted up on Dale and he's no longer the player he promised to be. 2014 was a one and done year.

Even in his worst season, Reed has been more impressive than Copley. At the very least, he has that performance against Newcastle and a sweet solo try against the Warriors. What does Copley have?

Surely we're all in agreement that Reed > Copley?

Yeah I'd agree with Reed > Copley.

Dale has been horrific this year, don't be surprised if he's released shortly to take up a contract in England.

Plus, it saved the club from the headache of entering negotiations with a player who ultimately just doesn't have what it takes at this level.

The club was able to move on, sign Roberts and Seve, with Isaako coming through and room to sign another player.

Copley is playing in a shit house Roosters team and has been hampered by injuries

Reed is just shit house.

I maintain that if he was given some consistency in his favoured center position he could have been a massive asset to us, especially as he would have been coached by Bennett not Robinson.

So Reed has not been hampered by injuries this season?

Why does Copley get an excuse?

So has Reed.....

There's only so much time you can keep waiting for a player to play consistently at their potential.

Reed definitely. But that's like picking your poison.
Copley is the Tim Smith of the centres or something. Promised the world, never delivered for whatever reason.
Whereas Reed is a massive over achiever.

Reed by default. Copley has been a non event this year through injury and when he is on the field he isnt very noticeable.

Copley probably has more natural talent and physical advantages over Reed but i dont see any desire in that guy. He just seems like rugby league is just a job he does to get paid without really enjoying it.

If Copley had the fight and desire of someone like Brent Tate he could have been a real assett, as it is he will be forgotten about by most league fans.

Still sad to see Copley go. I reckon he had something if he could string some games together but as vertigo says how long can you wait...Biggest thing that reed may have over him is handling...dale really dropped some ball in his time at our place. If footy is played between the ears then reeds got him.

Reed v Copley... Criiiiiiiple fiiiiiiiiiiighta

Should have let reed go too and brought gagai home.

Yeah they tried bringing Gagai home, he wanted to stay in Newcastle. Just because he is a good foot player doesn't mean he is smart.
