They’re all rookies too, just getting Penrith vibes of signing the next big group of juniors and then only one or two good ones come of it. Our signings outside the kids have been pretty shit in the last few seasons, and have only come on through players landing in our lap via Bennett.

Yeah, a lot of them look promising, but there's absolutely no guarantee they'll go on with it and end up improving (or even just ending up being decent regulars) in a few years time. We really have to start making smart signings soon.

Those people in Sydney debating against new stadium investment can't possibly be watching tonight. Look at the amount of tourism advertisement a popular sports event gets.
There are also 15,000 people booking hotels for at least 1, nearly always more, nights. And they spend their money in the city/state all that time too. Then you look at that tourism long term effect and its ridiculous to think that these people don't realise that major sporting events more than pay for themselves. And you don't get origin games at run down stadiums, it's that simple..
