Nope, he did have a brother named David who like Jason Moon played for Souths and Illawarra back in the 80's and as Broncoman pointed out it was his 50th Birthday.

Moon was a fringe player of the 80s who was probably best remembered for his work with Souths in 87. He came in for Mark Ross and spent the majority of the season playing on the wing.
Not to be confused with former Bronco Jason Moon who was apart of the Broncos 2007 and 2008 squads.
